The Battle Between Cialis Soft and Viagra

It is somewhat ironic that the temporary cure for getting back your hard-on could come from something with “soft” in its name – but that’s exactly the case for suffers’ of erectile dysfunction who find that Cialis Soft is the best prescription medication to restore their erection. But it is not the only option available – indeed, a large number of men have also had success with the familiar brand of Viagra, which poses an interesting question. Which drug works better? If you find yourself suddenly unable to hold an erection, which should you choose?

The drugs both address the same problem, so they share a variety of things in common. They are assigned the same task (restoring enough blood flow to the penis to hold an erection) and are both effective at accomplishing this. They have both been through the FDA’s rigorous approval process and are PDEF inhibitors (muscle relaxants). They both work for roughly two thirds of men everywhere. Unfortunately, almost a third of men prove resistant to the drugs and must find their treatment with something other than Cialis soft and Viagra.

But there are also notable differences. For one, Viagra has sort of taken off in terms of market demand. There are a couple of reasons to explain why Viagra is so much more popular as compared to Cialis soft. For one, it received FDA approval years before Cialis did and was the first of its kind available. This garnered a huge amount of media attention as everyone – ED suffers or not – started asking questions about those little blue pills that could restore both erections and libidos. They have even had a series of celebrity endorsements and co-opted Elvis Presley’s famous “Viva Las Vegas” melody. Secondly, Viagra continues to promote itself on television and through the radio, so that it is more present in the public’s mind. Cialis soft, on the other hand, is still building up its support base, one success story at a time.

Another difference is the time-frame. Viagra needs to be taken about an hour prior to sex. It will remain in the blood for a handful of hours after that (some estimates put it at around 4 total). Cialis soft, on the other hand, can be taken just 15 minutes in advance, making it a good option if you’re prone to semi-spontaneous intercourse. And, Cialis soft lasts longer in your system, working for more than a day in some cases – even 36 hours.

And then there is price. Viagra is somewhat less expensive than Cialis soft. Final prices, however, depend on your payment method (insurance vs. out of pocket), the pharmacy you shop through and whether or not there is generic brand (featuring the same active ingredient) available.

At the end of the day, there are pros and cons for each side and you should pick which one seems like the best fit for your individual situation. If money is the most important issue, Viagra can save you some dollars. If you plan on having marathon sex, Cialis soft might be worth an investment. The good news is that either way you are likely to come away from the experience happier than before and with a better sex life for you and your partner. Both of the drugs have been proven effective against battling erectile dysfunction.

As with all medications, you should discuss your health with a doctor prior to beginning the prescription and always follow your doctor’s orders. That could include taking lower dosages and being extra careful, particularly if you have a history of heart attacks. You should also remember that sexual stimulation is still required; although they boost your libido a bit, both drugs do require that you engage in the usual foreplay activities in order to get hard.
